Every 20 year old’s fantasy: interviewing the contestants for Miss Florida. I was an announcer at WTRL Radio in Bradenton, and got this assignment. This was the class of 1957.
My son, Dan, gave me the wonderful gift of a lesson in Zamboni driving. I have always wanted to be that guy on the Zamboni who comes out between periods of hockey games, a solo actor on a big stage. I managed to resurface the entire rink pretty evenly, and without colliding into the boards.
